About Me
Hello! 👋 I’m Reece, a 26 year old teacher from the UK. I have spent almost 5 years as an English teacher in China, and speak Chinese fluently. After going to university in the UK and USA to study philosophy, I found a new challenge in teaching abroad and building a new life in a non-English speaking country. My passions are for learning and teaching languages to overcome communicational barriers, as well as working out and spending time reading in cafes (hence the site name!). I also love writing about my experiences, which you can read about in my blog section.

🏫 - I've been a teacher in Chinese schools for 5 years now. I have had vast experience teaching ages 2-10, and 18+, both online and in-person.
🎓- I'm TEFL certified, IB certified, and hold a 1st Class Hons.
✈️ - I am well-travelled and multicultural.
💻 - I enjoy using a diverse range of interactive materials to practice with students, and encourage you to learn in the way that suits you the most. These can include magazines, videos, songs, PowerPoints, flashcards and online games. Most commonly, I will make custom PPTs that are tailored to your goals and learning level.
